Have Some Hot Toddy Toddy with Somebody Body

Running in the Snow

Well we woke up this morning to snow. Such a coincidence because my youngest son asked where the snow was at yesterday. Totally unexpected. The snow reminds me of the trips we took to Whistler B.C. when we lived in Seattle. The weather is such a food and beverage trigger for my brain. I see snow, then I think of Whistler, which ultimately leads to Hot Toddies.  There is something magical about honey laced tea and whisky. Just thinking about it makes my chest and belly warm.  Tangerine Hot Toddy it is today all day.

Tangerine Hot Toddy

Servings: 2

2 cups of Steeped tea of your Choice (I used Orange Pekoe)

2 tangerines

2 oz of Brandy, Whisky, or Bourbon

4 T Honey

  1. Boil 2 cups of water.  Steep tea in water.
  2. In two glasses equally divide honey.  Cut two tangerine slices for garnish.  Squeeze and strain juice of tangerine and equally divide.  Pour warm tea in glasses and give a quick stir.
  3. Garnish with Tangerine slice.
  4. Enjoy and warm your belly.
